Professional Makeup Artist
Hi! Thank you so much for your interest in me and my work! I am a born and raised California girl from San Diego. I've been a professional makeup artist for 12 years now and counting! I started my makeup career with Bare Minerals where I learned to respect every woman's natural beauty and enhance their unique features with makeup.
After nearly 2 years at Bare Minerals, I was recruited to work for M.A.C. Cosmetics. This was a makeup artist's dream come true! Within my nearly 6 years at M.A.C. Cosmetics I further developed my artistry skills and learned creative and innovative ways to apply makeup. While with M.A.C. Cosmetics I had the opportunity to work at numerous industry events in L.A., Las Vegas, and San Diego.

Throughout these years I built a clientele of my own, from brides to boss babes, and my love for freelancing grew.
In July 2018 the M.A.C. store that I assisted in managing closed. I decided to take my lemons and turn them into lemonade! I took my favorite elements of my job, the makeup and my clients, and turned it into something that is my own. Welcome to Makeup by Kamielea.

In January 2020 I obtained my California Board license in Esthetics. In July 2022 I opened Fox Eyes Makeup Studio, the studio provides a space for makeup services and bridges the gap between makeup at the mall and at-home luxury makeup services. In October 2023 Fox Eyes Makeup Studio was named Best Makeup Studio by San Diego Reader.
